The longer you own a device, the more things can go wrong. Like needing to fix a headphone jack. Most of the time it just needs to be cleaned. Here are three different methods that work. But first? Power off your device. In the first method, blow accumulated dust or lint out of the headset jack with a can of compressed air. In the second method, clean the headphone jack by gently inserting the tip of a dry cotton swab. Gently. Finally, create a homemade lint roller by wrapping the tip of a straightened paperclip with tape, sticky side up. Then very carefully insert the sticky paperclip end into the headset jack and pull out any lint or debris. After successfully completing one or all of these methods, your headphone jack should be restored to working order.
